I was tagged!
(Who is feeling better! I spent all weekend fretting about her, even Jake, my boyfriend's son was asking about her on Sunday!)
The rules are pretty easy to follow…The person who has been tagged lists 6 things about herself then tags 6 other people who do the same.
So here are my 6 things…
* I am an arrogant person. I try to hide it under the cordial smiles and southern sweetness, however I have found an inner strength and power that I have to learn to reign in at times. It does have the tenancy of getting tangled up in my boyfriend's 'tude, makes things fun
* I don’t like mushrooms. They are icky. Yes.. I said icky... that is the best my vocabulary can get right now.
* My oldest daughter was named after the princess in the movie Barbarians. Horrible movie... really bad... but I was pregnant, and she was very pretty. Oh, and it's hard to tease her on that name!
* I have been close to almost all of the mother's of men I have dated since I was 19. I love them like they are my own mom and though I have lost one of them along the way, I would NOT trade any moments with these women. I have been blessed to have them in my life, new and old
* I plan on going back to school in the next year. Hmmm.. probably gonna have to tell the boyfriend about my thoughts on this one. Well... ya'll are the first to know! :)
* I could spend 10+ hours on the computer a day, and do... most of the time! It is still not enough time to get issues worked out that I need to do.
Now to tag 6 others…

Remember "Clue"?
Do the synapses not touch?
Follow me down this road… it was the beginning of the “Clue” game that had started off in my head.
“Uh… when I got into the shower it water was lukewarm, but by the time I got out, it was chilly.”
Drip… Drip…. Goes the hair on the living room floor.
With a raised brow I look at him, “Okay…. Like, the hot water heater went out?”
“I don’t know”
A confused gaze follows him as he heads to his room.
“Hey…” …wait…. “ Did you check?”
Shaggy head pokes out the bedroom door. “No… I mean, I can… I’d prefer if one of ya’ll did… but… yea… I can.”
A minute later, after a bit of shuffling in the laundry room he saunters back out. “I heard the water gurgling, and it feels warm, so yea… it must be on.”
~blink~
Back into his room he goes with out a care in the world.
There I sit, trying to finish up the series of “Legend of the Seeker” with my son.
Staring after my 40 year old roommate and trying to figure out if I can put him INTO the hot water heater to test the temperature.
Needless to say I re-started up the water heater in time for the toddlers bath..
Oh…"I suggest it was Mrs. Bastien, in the laundry room, with the bleach." Pretty good guess....

NO... this is not about me... but a friend... What if...?

Imagine this.... You meet the man of your dreams and he sweeps you off your feet.
Money ~Time ~Family
Everything that can go wrong does.
So you decide to go to the court, sign the paper and be done with it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Then a letter comes in the mail to you from your cousin, It starts off stating that she is worried that your husband to be is planning something for you that will anger you..
~He invited your friends ~Family ~Got the Flowers ~Cake
Saturday, instead of just signing a paper, he was going to marry you in front of everyone. Profess his love for you...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How would you feel?
~Would you be mad at your cousin? ~Your husband?
Would you relish in the fact that your love dreamt for you...planned for you.... Spent nights awake trying to fullfill a portion of your dreams?
What was your wedding like? Do you wish it was different? If you had to do it over again... what would you do?
Team Reedo - Autism Walk
Three of my kids and I did the Autism walk with Kristin and her family and the handsome little Reed. Team Reedo walked two full laps, and I think they did another lap after my family and I split off to continue on the rest of our day.
Colorado Walk Now for Autism did a great job for these kids. There were clowns, Darth Vader, bouncy castles and singing Power Rangers. They also had many organizations there handing out pamphlets for assistance to parents.
I was honored to get the chance to help support little Reed, his loving family and the hundreds of other children that enjoyed the morning.
Thank you to everyone that attended and Team Reedo that raised over 1400$ for Autism research and assistance!

The Simple Woman's Daybook

Outside my window... cloudy skies and a nice cool spring morning.
I am thinking... about the wonderful weekend I have had, issues of people that are trying to hold onto the past, my baby girls whom I get to hold tomorrow and how Monday doesn’t feel like Monday because of the cloud nine I am on.
I am thankful for... the chance I have been given to be the mother of many and the girlfriend to a loving man. My friend Joanna who is feeling better after a trip to the ER.
From the kitchen... I have ideas of two weeks to give my boyfriend a chance to try new foods and experience one of my favorite ways to eat.
I am wearing... new patterned shorts, a yellow shirt, white tank, flip flops and my hair in a cute ponytail.
I am reading... blogs, trying to catch up.
I am hoping... to get everything done, packed and moved out for our new home with my boyfriend.
I am creating... a home for two families that are blending together.
Around the house... I am going to get some decorating ideas, take down curtains and ugly trim, and get things ready for a new chapter for both of us.
One of my favorite things... is taking pictures of my family and adapting them. I love how they turn out, and the memories that are created.
A few plans for the rest of the week... dealing with “issues”, making a video of the weekend, watching Dave play baseball, watching Jake play t-ball and being a feisty southern girl…. ~smirks~
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...
