Happy Yule!

Happy Yule to my many friends that celebrate today.

Gather up your Yule log, say your blessings and enjoy the day!

I had a lovely quiet Yule with my favorite little family and ate ourselves silly.
I am looking forward to a fruitful and bountiful new year to come!

My gift to you... "How to make a Yule Log."

Enjoy!

Warm Blessings

Yule Party Update

Status report: 3:59pm, Saturday December 20, 2008

Mental note for next year.

*Find mixer BEFORE making Grasshopper Pie, whisking heavy whipping cream until you can fold it into the mixture HURTS the poor arm!
*Clean a few days beforehand.
*Get manicure beforehand
*Get waxed beforehand
*(Trying to do the aforementioned things the day of the party only adds a tad of stress)

Oh, and should you ever date again... let the guy come over BEFORE the party. Do not let Yule be the party you have him come over for the first time. Tends to FREAK YOU OUT! Though.. can't wait to see him and little guy, should be a lot of fun!!

However.. I must say.. I'm going to be wearing this Converse One Star dress I got, I love it... black wrap around.. totally chic.

Ok.. Ok.. I'm procrastinated enough... time to curl the hair, wrap some Yule gifts and paint a few of the nails I messed up. Details soon!!

Yule Party!

Tonight is the night of my annual Yule party.

I look forward to this every year because all of the gifts that are given are handmade. We spend all year thinking away what to make everyone and tonight it's do or die time. This year.. I made soaps with essential oils in them and herbs. Should be nice for everyone. Last year I made everyone pillows with specific essential oils and herbs in them. They smelled amazing.

We are adding a few new people to our celebrations this year. The first year it was just JC, the kids and I. Then we added G and Dan, and now, it's gone out to more friends, so this year it's a party.

We have:

Gingerbread Train for the kids to build
Oranges and Cloves for people to build

From A Year of Crockpotting ( I am addicted to this blog! All of these drinks will be done in the crockpot) (Pictures from A Year of Crockpotting)

Peppermint Hot Chocolate (With Peppermint Schnapps for the adults!)

Then, of course, the food. Ham, fruit and veggie trays, sweet breads and treats.

It should be a ton of fun.. however... Here I am sitting on my rump blogging about it instead of running to the store... I have to get out of here if I plan on getting ANYTHING done today!

I'll post pictures tonight!

Much love!
