I received a JCPenney gift card for the purpose of this review. This post was made possible by Mom Spark Media. Thoughts are my own.
At the end of last year I got a letter from the school nurse requesting my littlest girl get checked for glasses.
Little LaLa has some issues with reading and we always assumed it was a learning issue not a sight issue, however after watching her read, I began wondering if it was something else. She just couldn't see.
So we took her in to JC Penney Optical because we found out that they had a GREAT deal on select Kids’ frames up to $120, FREE impact & scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses, FREE UV protection and FREE eyeglass protection plan for any school-aged child 16 & under.
I went out to the Park Meadows Mall here in Colorado (check here for the closest JC Penney in your area) and got an appointment for the next week. It was an easy online sign up and I even signed myself up for one while I was there, might as well kill two birds with one stone. The doctor was on time, very easy to talk to and answered all of our questions.
(Not the glasses you will find at JCPenney, but they are too cute not to share!)
We were in and out of the appointment, ordering process and headed to lunch in an hour.
Now, little LaLa is a brave soul, but sometimes when things are new, she gets anxious and will cling to me. However she was mesmerized by all the doo-dads and things to touch. She asked a multitude of questions and wanted to know everything about the process.
We ordered her some adorable new glasses for school and of course made them as kid proof as possible. 2nd grade kids aren't the best when it comes to being careful with their glasses. She was asked to wear them all the time and hopefully her world will finally come into focus.
Now, JCPenney is having a back to school contest, you can find more details on the JC Penney Optical page.
