Digital Media Academy - Made by Girls

This past year I have been looking at the whole STEM initiative that has been prevalent in the news.

What is STEM?
  1. STEM is an acronym referring to the academic disciplines of science, [note 1] technology, engineering, and mathematics. The term is typically used when addressing education policy and curriculum choices in schools to improve competitiveness in science and technology development.
This is something big on my list because I have daughters and the numbers say that after elementary school girls believe that they can't do science related work. Society & peer pressure can sometimes speak louder than reality. Test scores across the board for boys and girls are equal, however the facts are that boys move into these fields more than girls.

So I want to change that, at least for my daughters: One of the ways is by looking into a camp that specializes in STEM for Girls. Digital Media Academy is also proud to introduce Made by Girls, a new program dedicated to empowering girls and closing the gender gap in the tech industry.

Give your teen a pre-collegiate experience or build a child's confidence through project-based learning. Learn at some of the most prestigous colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
