Gather 'round... let me tell you all a story!
I went to a concert here a few years back in downtown Denver. It was my
friend and I, we ate at Maggiano's and went to go see another artist.
Before he came out, the opening act came on stage....
alone.
Just her and her keyboard.
She was a short-haired waif of a girl, who couldn't have been any older
than 20, and looked as confident as any seasoned performer.
Then she sang.
I fell in love with her from that point on. We bought her album, I
MySpaced her and started following her career. That was about five
years ago.
She has come a long way, she has been seen on Conan O'Brien and is supporting the Indigo Girls and then Ben Folds on Tour. Her music has also been featured on the show "So You Think You Can Dance". She is doing an amazing job with a beautiful voice, a brilliant smile and some great opportunities!
"On a Clear Night" is her newest album, and seems to have taken on a new life than her previous endeavors. The youth that was evident in "The Sound of White" has changed and grown as Missy Higgins has over the years.
"On a Clear Night" reflects what she is doing right now, writing most of her songs on the road with her guitar which allows for an upbeat and melodic sound. She is finding herself each and every day, having already been named "Female Artist of the year" in 2005, she has grown up in the limelight and is finally becoming comfortable in her skin.

Scanning an atlas, I can't seem to find it. I suspect it may not exist on earth at all. Missy Higgins - alien visitor from another world?
Further confusion from the fact that Wikipedia claims it was Melbourne, Australia. But, I mean, anyone can edit Wikipedia. Can we really trust that as a source?
