Crunchy Thursdays #1

Crunchy Thursdays isn’t about delicious food for your stomach, but it’s a good snack for your spirit. There could be many reasons for saving the world around us, but living in Colorado, mine is to make sure the beauty is available for those coming behind me. I am using supplies from Lets Go Green because Kyle seems to have a good handle on cost, and availability for items that can help out the environment and save us all a little more money.

This week I am showing a paper product that is 100% recycled.
We all use toilet paper. I use a lot of it in my house with eight butts to wipe, but if you can purchase toilet paper online, for the same cost that you would buy it in the store, why not get something that is recycled?

Lets Go Green has a 12 roll of toilet paper for $7.19.
100% Recycled Toilet Paper

This bathroom tissue is free of dyes, inks and fragrances. It is recycled without chlorine or bleaching. Contains 250 2-ply sheets per roll.

“Paper is the largest component of municipal solid waste in the U.S., filling up more than 40% of our landfills. But last year over half of the paper consumed in the U.S. was recovered for recycling, which means that over 51 million tons of paper is being recovered for recycling each year. Do your part and use recycled paper products when you can.”

It is a good first step on the way to having a greener house. It’s not a bad thing, and it’s wonderful for you to teach your family.

Oh, and if you want, you can go to this adorable shop and get some covers to protect the 12 rolls and make your bathroom look a little cuter.

How much toilet paper does your family go through?

We use lots of TP at our house. I couldn't even count how many. So sadly we get the really cheap stuff.
