This year my daughters and I will be celebrating Nation Kids
to the Park Day in Bailey, Colorado assisting with Set Up Weekend for a local
Girl Scout camp. We get to be outside, enjoying the fresh air, helping out
others and at night, I plan on having them lying in the grass at night looking
at the sea of stars.
This year the National Kids to Park Day is May 16, 2015.
What does it mean for
you? It means plan a play date, tell your kids you are taking them on a
surprise (then plan a picnic), attend one of these events: (These are for
Colorado, if you are looking for another state, please go here)

National Park Trust is encouraging children across the
country to explore their neighborhood parks and discover science, history, nature
and adventure right around the corner or just across town. Their website can help
jumpstart your adventure. Visit them at kidstoparks.org
National Park Trust is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
dedicated to preserving parks today and creating park stewards for tomorrow. As
people spend more time indoors and as successive generations grow up with less
of a connection to nature, NPT wants to build a greater awareness and
appreciation for the importance of our country's public lands and parks. To
learn more about their work visit www.parktrust.org or call 301-279-7275.
They are also offering a wonderful prize pack for one of
