Then, I became a blogger.
I went to Mommy meet-ups, art openings, play dates and even some benefit fundraisers for local organizations. I started seeing these Mommy cards, then business cards. They were vibrant, with the blog banner on it or even the photo of the blogger. They had Facebook, Twitter and blog address’ on them.
I was missing out on a great opportunity to put my name out there.
I started seeing local actors putting a head shot and mini portfolios on business cards, things to hand out to producers or playwrights while they were around town.
What did I have? A sheet of a paper, a great smile and very little else to remind people who I was.
Then I went to Vistaprint and started browsing what they had to offer, I was shocked! I made a set of cards, put a wonderful headshot done by a great local photographer and started handing out the cards. It has made a big difference in my time out with fellow bloggers and digital media contacts.

I'm sure I'd end up with a custom design, but the card with the picture of the grass is really nice. Why not pass out something a little calming?
