Best Advice I've ever been offered...

“Don’t complain about something until you have thought about a solution”

This is possibly the greatest advice I’ve ever been given. You can be talking about politics, money, children or work. Griping, complaining and being filled full of negative thoughts only leads to one thing…. Lack of appreciation for your life and many people around you don’t want to be there for very long.

You are the one who chooses your path, “I didn’t sign up for this life” or “Why is EVERYONE always doing this.” The cause is you … no one else. You chose the life you are living.

If you want to go home and gripe about your boss and/or your coworkers, ask yourself a few questions. “Am I making it harder on myself?” / “Can I get out without harming my career?” / “What can I do to solve my unhappiness?” Once you have figured out the solution, no matter what the solution is, THEN complain. At least you’ve thought about what you want/are going to do.

I got on my Facebook today and sent out the question:

What is the greatest advice you have ever been given?

Here is what a few of my friends have to say:

James C.

"Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed."
-G. K. Chesterton

Mandy W.

..."It's the fear that makes it fun."..... Her Daddy, Miles

Hunter T.

"When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning, by dreams that need completion, by pure love that needs expressing, then we truly live life." ~Greg Anderson

When you find the right person who helps you along the way, then you have achieved true greatness.

Jennifer F.

You can't fall unless you jump! This is my second jump and it is definitely worth it. Also "You teach people how to treat you"

Drew H.

If you don't expect anything, you can never be let down!

James A.

Behind every beautiful person is someone tired of their attitude.

Knowing these people… some of them I’m just reconnecting with after years of childhood or high school friendship… I know and see how this advice affects their life.

Now it’s your turn: What is the greatest advice you ever got? How do you live it? Do you think it changed who you are?

Here is the story behind my dad's advice:
We were at the beach and my cousin kept yelling "Shark!" freaking me out and making me run out of the water. I went to dad to complain and he tells me "It's the fear that makes it fun." I sat there contemplating that for a few minutes and ran back out into the water.

Ever since then, whenever I'm held back by my own fear, I remember what Dad said. It has helped me make some fantastic leaps in my life.

I can so see your dad saying that with the little mischievous smile he always had!

Great advice... in fact.. If you don't mind.. I think I'll raise my three youngest with it. I think I'd love them to be a lot like that!

Good day, sun shines!
There have were times of hardship when I didn't know about opportunities of getting high yields on investments. I was a dump and downright stupid person.
I have never thought that there weren't any need in large initial investment.
Now, I feel good, I begin take up real income.
It's all about how to choose a proper partner who uses your money in a right way - that is incorporate it in real business, parts and divides the income with me.

You can ask, if there are such firms? I have to tell the truth, YES, there are. Please get to know about one of them:

Hello everyone!
I would like to burn a theme at this forum. There is such a nicey, called HYIP, or High Yield Investment Program. It reminds of ponzy-like structure, but in rare cases one may happen to meet a company that really pays up to 2% daily not on invested money, but from real profits.

For several years , I earn money with the help of these programs.
I'm with no money problems now, but there are heights that must be conquered . I get now up to 2G a day , and my first investment was 500 dollars only.
Right now, I managed to catch a guaranteed variant to make a sharp rise . Turn to my web site to get additional info.

My Grandmother has always told me "Be careful what you say because you can never take it back once you have said it." I really really really try and listen to her.
