For Today...
Outside my window...
it is cloudy with the sun sneaking through to keep the morning from looking dreary. It is going to be in the high 70's today, perfect for enjoying the outside.
I am thinking...
that my hair looks FANTASTIC today, work is nice and stress free and that I'm in a fantastic mood.
I am thankful for...
my oldest daughter having made it to 18, without following in my footsteps. I would not trade her in for the world, however I want her to go to college and find the right lifestyle before settling down into her life as a mother.
From the kitchen...
we have almost replaced all the spices, they look beautiful now with the right colors and right scents. I have chicken thighs cooking in the crockpot and some great dinners for the week. I can't wait to get the family home to feed them a lovely dinner before the football game tonight.
I am wearing...
my “golf” shorts, a green tank, white long sleeve over shirt, dangly earrings, my "new leaf" necklace by : Ms. Single Mama, flip flops and an amazingly great hair day!
I am reading...
magazines, I just finished a great book and am moving onto the newest Dan Brown book!
I am hoping…
that Kim has an AWESOME birthday today. She's a great lady and hopefully will be a great friend when we get to spend more time together. I know things are rough sometimes with her brother, however I adore her, we are very similar in much of our life's paths and I've been sitting her all morning trying to figure out how to say this so... "HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kim!" ~hugs~
I am creating...
a way to get paint so I can finish the master bedroom and look at ideas for the tiles in the master bathroom so we can make it a little more... Zen, for Dave and I. Have to make it masculine so he doesn't mind sharing a bathroom with a girl. Hehe...
Around the house...
I am more in love with him because he cleaned out the "clutter" drawer. I love it when he listens to me and follows up on things when I least expect it.
One of my favorite things...
is watching the three youngest play together. Jake has become a great brother for the little girls, and I love hearing him calling the girls his sisters at Joey's football games. They all love each other so much.
A few plans for the rest of the week...
Tonight is homework, football watching and enjoying the quiet. Tomorrow is all the kids and a little more hectic, Wednesday is parent teacher conferences, Thursday is another semi-busy night and Friday is DATE NIGHT! I am making plans for date night... it is necessary!
Here are two picture thoughts I am sharing with you...
(These are my kids and one of their friends at the Genghis Khan Exhibit. I've got a post brewing for this!)
