To-Do Tuesday - Moving Edition

Dave asked me for a list yesterday of what I need to get done.

See, I spiral, I get a thought in my head, I focus on it, I manipulate it, work it out in my head and finagle its way into reality. It’s how I make all of my life work.

However, in times like this move (4 days!), I have lots of thoughts, lots of things that need to get done, things that I need for my sanity.

Those are the hardest times for me, because I get overwhelmed and frustrated and tend to start to panic. Dave has a knack for seeing these moments, he can see it in my face, my eyes glaze over, my brain goes into overdrive and I am lost to the world.

So my list was extensive, little things for my sanity…. So… I need To Do Tuesday this week more than any other!

Here is the Crunchy Green Mom list O’sanity.

Before we move (4 days!)

Crown Moulding in girl’s room
Mount TV
Connect the cable TV
Put up plug and light switch covers
Sand down Joey’s door
Patch drywall
Make sure the desk is at the right height
Make sure my measuring was not FRIED with Nikki’s mattress
Install light in Kara’s closet
Install last shelving bar for Nikki’s book shelf
Figure out a ladder for Nikki’s bed

DATE NIGHT! – Friday is our last date night before we blend the two families. Seven kids, one dog and two adults. We are happy to have a lock on the door for those moments when we need a quiet moment to ourselves.

Wanna see pictures… sneak previews of the room?

Wow! What a big undertaking!

May everything go smoothly for you, Dave and all the children. And even the dog.

Thanks for your kind comment today, too!

That's some major work that you guys are doing! When you look back at this someday, you (hopefully) won't remember all the stress but instead you'll be thankful that you did everything BEFORE you moved in.

Right?

Good luck in the next couple days!
