Mom Dot Party Day 5

Today is Day 5... I have soooo much catching up to do on reading other people's blogs!

Here is the question for the day

Do you volunteer your time? If so, please tell us where. What do you do to teach your children the true meaning of the holidays?

My kids and I like to adopt a kid every holiday season. Usually through work we will adopt a family and then everyone will get together one item for a member therefore we can spread it all around.

Last year we got a 12 year old girl and bought her a beautiful white coat. It was the "in style" kind with fur around the hood and totally chic looking. It was nice for the family to wrap it and give it away knowing it will get to a family who really needs it!

We do something similar, I'm sure they really appreciated what you did for them.

That is so great.

Great idea! We do Angel Tree every year, it's similar...we "adopt" one child whose parent is in prison, and get them something on their wish list.

That's so fun and so nice that you put so much thought into the gifts you give!
