Last of the Six

She sits in my lap most days, curled up and comfortable.
Sometimes she will sit and look around the room swinging her legs from my lap.

She rarely makes a lot of noise though always seems to notice every detail.
A tilt of her head will offer me a glimpse of her beautiful features.

Her eyes are dark like mine and long lashes that seemed to grow longer everyday.
She is the smallest of all my children, in age and in comparison.

She will be a petite little girl with long dark hair and a very serious and intelligent outlook.
When you get a smile from her, you earned it, she does not give those out freely.

As she slept in my arms this morning, I realized I was holding the last of an era against my chest.
The youngest of the clan is almost a year old, I am so blessed to have these moments with her.
