Ok.. I don't watch this show, ever.

Until my mother calls me at 9:33pm Texas time (which is late for her), to tell me that my childhood neighbor, which still live across the street from my family, is one of the 12 finalists. We all grew up together, in fact, my brother works with her, and her brother works for my brother. It's still a tight knit group in Texas.

I used to listen to her sing at Talent shows in elementary schools, and I thought she was amazing then. If you all get the chance, go and see her, her name is Melissa Lawson, she is a mom of 5 boys, and a wonderful singer! She has also lost 65 pounds since joining the show!
