5 Fingers of Thanks 5/10

Photobucket

1.) Having children in my late teens finally paid off!! I got breakfast for Mother’s day with Chocolate chip pancakes, eggs, fruit, strong coffee and a beautiful card/photo collage. Okay… there are other reasons to enjoy the kids … I suppose.

2.) I am thankful to have my mother and father still with us, and I get to see them in two days. I haven’t seen them in two years. I am so excited.

3.) Giving thanks for my eldest daughter. She made it to age 18, made it through 12 years of school and is about to walk across the stage on Thursday for graduation.

4.) Many thanks for the Mother’s I’ve had in my life. Belinda, for giving me life and walking away. Judy, for being my Mommy. Cindy, for helping me in my time of need and picking me up no matter what time of a night I called. Carol, for still taking care of me when I need someone to talk to or even just because it’s who you are. Finally, Nickie, for being someone I can drink with, laugh with and look forward to many years hearing your stories.

5.) My kids…. Because without them, I’d never have learned to be a Mommy.

Great reasons!! I am glad I had Kayla late in my teens as well. I think that I learned a lot of important lessons being young.

Hurray for a fabulous Mother's Day! And for kids who are actually self-sufficient (I can only imagine on this one. :-)

Those reasons are beautiful! I sure wish my kids could cook me breakfast. That must have been a delicious treat.
