Happy Birthday Issa!

Christmas morning of 2006 we had just unburied ourself from the blizzard that hit Colorado. In fact, our neighbors were nice enough to snowplow the driveway knowing it could be an issue for my 9 month pregnant rump to get out in case I went into labor.

I stumbled out of bed around 6ish to go to the restroom, wondering if the doorway was getting smaller or if I was getting bigger as I sat down.... Whoosh...

Yes... I cursed...

Yes... I yelled out for her father and told him my water broke.

Yes... my labor on #4 had been 1.5 hours and I was sure this one would NOT be as long.

Yes... we were out of the house and FLYING to Parker (about 1/2 an hour away) to get to the hospital.

I made it to the ER, and they practically threw me upstairs to the maternity ward.

I made it to the maternity ward and that was about how long it took.

A few pushes... more cursing... And she was born.

Jacqueline Isolde (Issa) at 7:20am

Now, she is two years old, the Christmas baby who just HAD to make herself known.

Happy Birthday Issa-Boo!!
