However, my oven raised a white flag and surrendered about eight months ago, and I’ve been without! I miss her, not in the summer, but in the winter I miss the smells of freshly baked bread. *sighs* I won’t lament too long, it’s really a sad thing!
So, when I got this great package the other day of Frosted Mini-Wheats I HAD to follow the recipe for Crunchy Peanut butter cookies!
Luckily my baby sitter was kind enough to let me heat up her house by baking these cookies the other night! I love her, even though she can’t eat peanut butter, she still was sweet enough to allow her husband to munch on one when I finally finished.
First, I got the wet and dry ingredients together. They are simple things that you have around the house; however I did change up the recipe and used Splenda® brown sugar instead of regular.
I crushed up the cereal in a large STRONG plastic bag. (If you can’t tell, I tried to use a weak one, and lost the battle)
Then I blended everything together and the smell was already tempting to gobble up!
I am a strong believer in large cookies, it must be the Texan in me, so here they are in their almost glory.
Finally they came out of the oven, it wasn’t soon enough, they smelled delish and I wanted to eat them warm with some milk and then take a nap.
They are so good. They smell great, they have a slight crunch to them and I will be making them again soon. It’s nice to find something where we just have to add a little extra treat and it’s a new spin on an old classic.
We also received a snack cup with this, and I LOVE this thing. The bottom is a cup that has a sealed layer of gel that you can freeze to keep milk or juice cool. The top is a small cup with a spoon attached to the top. As a single mom I know there are some mornings that you are running late, and can’t get breakfast in. It’s nice to know that with a little milk and some cereal you can run out the door and your sleepy little one can eat at school or in the car. This is a GENIUS product; I’d love a few more of these if I can find them to get my hands on!
Now, here are some pictures of what we get to step around while baking in the kitchen.
This is the little imp trying to appear oblivious.
Doesn’t she look mad like “What are you doing in MY kitchen?”
Not to be outdone, here is the littlest one who can only move backwards in her walker, but can still hit my feet while I'm cooking!
I love my little ones, even if they like to live under foot!!!!!

This blog tour was thanks to Mom Central, I love them!
