Ever try to blog while you are sick?

Yesterday I had a major Blog fail moment. 

I've been working hard on posting every day for the "Bloggy Mom's 365" challenge, and up until yesterday I had made it.

Yesterday I didn't post, I woke up sick, tried to fight it in the morning but couldn't do it!

It is now Sunday night and I'm making up for lost time... I hope you won't hold it against me!

My excuses.....

I have been so quiet lately.

I know… I am stating the obvious.

Here are my excuses:

• I have had a stomach issue. I think I figured out one of the culprits. This tea I have been drinking every day for three months. I have switched to Chai tea… it’s delightful and Dave got it for me… Yummo…

• I went and watched Dave play baseball last night. I can not even explain how wonderful that was. He is a cocky guy, but out on the field, it is tangible. He is confident, like he is at home out there. It has been a part of his life for so long, I feel lucky to get to share that with him, a piece of him I’ve never gotten to see before.

It was a cool night; the field was in the middle of no where. But once I saw the lights of the field I got excited. I didn’t tell him I was coming, it was a total surprise and the look on his face was worth it. (Though I am sure he saw me before hand, there is no way he couldn’t have known I was there, I kind of felt like a stalker.). It was fun to hear the crack of the bat and to watch him warm up. I got to see him pitch an inning and I got to see the camaraderie with the team. (They are a great team)

He has a few friends that I adore, and their wives are such sweet ladies. I am still… “the new girl” however I think people are seeing that I’m not going anywhere. It is nice to laugh with them, oh, and at least get a few answers. I feel like dolt most of the time when it comes to baseball. I do not know a lot about it, I’m a football girl.

• Easter… I need to write a long post on Easter. My first holiday with Dave’s family. The little ones had a great time! They got to decorate their own bags, hunt for eggs and ate some great food. I will post pics as soon as I can.

That is about it, there are other issues like my son getting in trouble at school, my boyfriend making the CUTEST bunny cake for his sons’ birthday and/or my heart missing my parents these days… but that will all come at another date.

How I got started

I love that question because it is totally up for interpretation. I know when I first heard about blogging I said, "There is no way people want to read about my babbling, boring life with kids and work." - "Why would I want to share my life with strangers?" - "My friends already know about my life"

I used to write an e-mail to all my friends called "Today in History", it went through and told everyone about the current historical events on the current day, Word of the Day, Joke of the Day, SAT question of the day, Joke and comic of the day, just funny things for my friends to read.

My friend Timmeh said... "Hey you should start a website".

HHHHHHEEEEYYYYYY........ Great idea!


So I started a blog called, "Lilithology" and would update it everyday with the little "newsletter". It was fun, time consuming and then I branched out a little, doing a review on a cupcake/cereal bar that opened in town, (Yes, it is THAT cool).

And then....

I found Giveaways......


........... And then I won a giveaway. It wasn't much, but I was ADDICTED!
