One year old and a three foot fall

*Warning: If you are weak of the stomach, you might not want to read this or look at the photos*

Yes, you read the title correctly.... the little one thinks she is a flying squirrel.

Baby LaLa and I had just walked up the stairs going into the house and I stopped to talk with Dave and our neighbor.

She decided she wanted to go down to the grass to play with her sister and Jake. She did not see that the step wasn't there.

She fell, three feet to the ground and her forehead hit the metal divider between the grass and the flowerbed.

Blood.... tons of blood.

Oh, and almost as many tears as there was blood.

By the time the bleeding stopped, Dave looked like Jackson Pollack painting and we now have two dishtowels stained with the little one's blood.

Dave wrapped up her head like she was a WWII survivor.

Then, her father and I took her to Children's Hospital. I love Children's Hospital, they are wonderful! They got us in and out in three hours, she got two stickers and a ton of love!

She got six stitches, we are still hoping there is no broken nose.

I don't have an "after" picture yet.. just a before...

Pretty icky huh?

  7. Oh! Poor thing! My littlest one just got six stitches under his chin - I think it was more traumatic for me than for him! Sending you good thoughts!
